300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in New York with Three Sisters Yoga

300-hour training will give you a deeper appreciation and understanding yoga and help you refine your goals.

Whether you are looking to expand your teaching skills or simply deepen your studies, you have a unique and important voice. It is our belief that, whether you want to teach or not, you will find a way to apply this learning in your life because meaningful discourse and change comes in many shapes and sizes.

300 hour students study asana, Ayurvedic practices, anatomy, Sanskrit, mantras, mudras, chakras, history, concerns regarding cultural appropriation, diversity, equity and inclusion in yoga, and more. The training is a combination of classroom hours, group work, independent research, and should you choose to, teaching opportunities.

This is a leadership focused training and it is a large time commitment, however we are flexible with scheduling and make-up hours. We believe your training should support you, not deplete you. If you need to miss class, you can make it up in a future training.

Program Details:

There are two “tracks” for the 300 hour: Professional Development or Independent Research. Professional Development is for students who either are, or would like, to teach professionally. Independent Research is for students who want to delve deeper into a specific topic of yoga. Professional Development students will have an opportunity to teach under the guidance of our primary teacher, Jen Whinnen, in the 200 hour. Independent Research students will present their work at the end of the training.
